Alison Smith joined UBC at George Mason in June 2025 and is currently a Consultant. Before joining UBC, she led community and economic development initiatives for a local government agency, focusing on rural communities across southern Oregon. Alison also brings a background in consulting, where she partnered with government agencies, nonprofits, and private sector organizations to expand programs, streamline operations, and improve service delivery. She holds a B.S. in Business Management from Penn State University. Outside of work, Alison spends time hiking, reading, and learning to play the piano.
